Poetry Festival in Sitges in 9th edition. The mixture of homage, celebration, and poetry sitgetanisme when this event has become genuine.

The seven invited poets come as organizers say the festival, “In Vein” through the syringe, the poster image (like that in the last five years is the work of designers and Edu Sentis Viki Gallardo, the company Sitges Pasgràfic). A syringe magic, metaphysics and emotional. Symbol of a bridge between the exterior and interior.

The poets will enter the streets and spaces of the town to remind us that poetry exists. The goal is, once again, to value this kind and grateful to the poets for their dedication to an art often unknown.

Long renowned poets and seven very different people but with the virtue of common humanity and authenticity. They are the Catalan Jordi Pàmias, Vicente Llorca, Rosa Font Massot, Joseph Pedrals, Meritxell Cucurella-Jorba, Jordi Valls and the poet Rodolfo Santiago de Cuba Hasler.

Since its inception, the Festival of Poetry in Sitges is designed and directed by poets Joan Duran and Celia Sanchez-Ferrer and Mústich. The Palau Maricel, the Miramar Building, the local Society for the Recreational Retreat and the Palau del Rey Moro, their dances of the Association of Sitges, will, together with the streets of the town, the scene of several acts of the Festival.

The Festival of Poetry has the support of the city of Sitges, the Recreational Society of El Retiro, the Consortium Sitges Heritage and complicity among others, of the Institute of Catalan Letters.

The Festival of Poetry, for the first time, has financed part of its spending through micromecenatge.

REBUDA DELS POETES a la Plaça Eduard Maristany

(plaça de l’estació). Hi seran presents associacions,

autoritats, veïns del poble, la joveníssima

gimnasta Helena Salesas, els nens i nenes de l’esplai

de dansa del Casino Prado…

A continuació, la tradicional cercavila amb una

formació de la banda de música Suburband del

Retiro. Sitgetans com Carles Arola i Pinyu Martí, i

personatges coneguts com Pere Tàpias i les actrius

Carme Sansa i Anna Barrachina, saludaran els

poetes des dels balcons.

A mig camí, refresc a la Societat Recreativa el Retiro.

Finalment, al pati de l’edifici Miramar, el grup

musical sitgetà Soma Club culminarà la rebuda als

poetes i tindrà lloc el lliurament del llibre de la

Festa, editat per Llibres de Terramar.

jardí d’una casa particular de Sitges. Enguany serà la

del pintor Pere Stämplfi i la seva esposa Anna

Maria, al carrer d’en Bosch. Amb l’actuació musical

dels alumnes de l’escola Music-Express-Art.

SOBRETAULA ARTÍSTICA. A la Societat Recreativa

El Retiro. Durant la sobretaula, actuacions que

aniran des del cabaret fins les caramelles passant

per altres petites sorpreses…

Preu: 20 euros per als socis del Retiro i 25 euros per

al públic en general. Venda anticipada de tiquets,

fins el dijous 14, a la secretaria del Retiro, al carrer

ESPECTACLE D’OMBRES XINESES “CAPTURA

D’ÀNIMES”. Aquest any, eventualment, l’exposició

que duia aquest nom ha estat adaptada a un

format teatral. Florenci Salesas i C. S-Mústich (sons

i veus) i Bel Suñé i Montserrat Gutiérrez (titelles),

dirigits per Josep Milan, oferiran un espectacle

d’ombres xineses basat en la personalitat, obra i en

definitiva ànima de cada un dels poetes. Serà al

Palau del Rei Moro, seu de l’Agrupació de Balls

Populars de Sitges, i presentaran l’acte -en català i

en les seves llengües d’origen- els alumnes dels

cursos de Català de Sitges.

Sopar a la Cava del Retiro per als poetes i artistes.

RECITAL DE CLOENDA on els poetes convidats

llegiran els seus poemes als Jardins del Retiro. La

coneguda cantant i actriu Mone i el seu guitarrista

Pau Figueres , interpretaran algunes de les

cançons predilectes de cada poeta. Amb la

col·laboració del patinador Javier Moreno i la

ballarina Sílvia Cuesta. I amb la complicitat dels

clavells del jardí…

Tots els actes són d’entrada lliure excepte el

concert d’Anna Roig i L’ombre de ton chien i el
