Saint George’s Literary Contest II 2013

The competition is organized by the Cultural Association stores Sitges establishes three categories: Children up to 11 years; Youth 12 to 18 years, and Senior, from 19. And two modes: a) Poem in Spanish or Catalan (minimum 20 lines, maximum 60) and b) short story in Spanish or Catalan (1000 words maximum).

The rules can be found at the link. Manuscripts must be submitted 24 hours before the April 17, 2013 email address: @ gmail.com ascult.lbs a Word attachment (. doc format or. RTF).

The awards ceremony will take place at Eucalyptus Park, The Shops at Sitges, on Saturday April 27 at 12 noon.

We do a story on St George 2013

It can be viewed online stories special St. George students who have completed five schools in Sitges.

The initiative, begun in 2007, the Center for Educational Resources Garraf has had this year with over 400 students from 31 infant and primary schools in the county, including schools Sitges Borrachina Esteban, Miquel Utrillo, Maria Osso , Agnes of Sitges and Pious Schools.

The result was a total of 34 stories accompanied by illustrations made by the students themselves.

L’acte comptarà amb la participació de Débora Chomski, professora, escriptora, formadora de formadors a diverses institucions i autora del llibre; Pere Marqués, Dr. en Pedagogia, especialista en Noves Tecnologies i Educació, professor de la UAB i coordinador de la xarxa d’educadors DIM; Joan Badia Pujol, profesor de Llengua i Literatura Catalana, director de la revista educativa “Escola Catalana”.

II Certamen Literari Sant Jordi 2013

El concurs organitzat per l’Associació Cultural Les Botigues de Sitges estableix tres categories: Infantil, fins a 11 anys; Juvenil, de 12 a 18 anys; i Sènior, a partir de 19 anys. I dues modalitats: a) Poema en castellà o català (mínim 20 versos, màxim 60) ib) relat breu en castellà o català (1000 paraules màxim).

Les bases es poden consultar a l’enllaç. Els originals s’han de presentar abans de les 24h del dia 17 d’abril de 2013 per correu electrònic a la direcció: ascult.lbs@gmail.com en un arxiu adjunt de Word (format .doc, o .rtf).

El lliurament de premis tindrà lloc al Parc dels Eucaliptus, a Les Botigues de Sitges, el proper dissabte 27 d’abril a les 12 hores.

Fem un conte per Sant Jordi 2013

Ja es pot consultar online els contes especials per Sant Jordi que han realitzat alumnes de cinc escoles de Sitges.

La iniciativa, sorgida l’any 2007 del Centre de Recursos Pedagògics del Garraf, ha comptat enguany amb més de 400 alumnes d’Infantil i Primària provinents de 31 escoles de la comarca, entre elles les escoles sitgetanes Esteve Barrachina, Miquel Utrillo, Maria Ossó, Agnès de Sitges i Escola Pia.

El resultat ha estat un total de 34 contes acompanyats d’il·lustracions que han fet els propis alumnes.

Book giving celebrates the lives of Miguel Cervantes and William Shakespeare who died on 23 April (1616). Barcelona is also the publishing power house of both Catalan and Spanish languages.

Countries that celebrate St George’s Day include:
England, Bulgaria, Canada, Catalonia, Croatia, Portugal, Cyprus, Greece, Georgia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Republic of Macedonia. Cities include Moscow in Russia, Genova in Italy, Ljubljana in Slovenia, Beirut in Lebanon, Qormi and Victoria in Malta and many others.
